Between Opportunities: Advice and tips for students and recent grads who are about to enter “real life”

When I was in university I would always joke with a friend of mine who had graduated that she had “crossed over the other side”. What was the real world all about anyway? I could only wonder. During university, I would do informational interviews with different people and almost every single person told me “enjoy it while it lasts because it’s not the same ever again.” After being out of school for a year,  I have discovered that they were telling me the truth. It’s not the same but it’s not bad it’s just different. I learned a lot of life lessons in the last and I’m still learning them.

How do we adjust to real life? Because now we’re finally on our own responsible for our own lives and careers. How do we manage a job search while we’re trying to figure out who we are?

Through this blog, I’m looking to offer advice to students and other recent grads about the career search, resources that I’ve come across, and other relevant things associated with crossing over to the “other side”.
